Kate Hall

Working at a GP practice and within the NHS my focus has been on delivering short term counselling over 6-12 sessions. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues which include depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, trauma and physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

I am a qualified couples counsellor and work with couples helping them to find their way through what can be a very challenging and emotional time.

Beyond counselling, I also have a background of 11 years as an employment lawyer, where I support both employees and employers when facing difficult situations. Specialising in discrimination law I feel that I have a very real understanding of stresses and challenges facing people in the workplace.

I trained in the person centred approach because I believe that it is the relationship between counsellor and client makes all the difference. I find it a privilege to work with my clients, be part of their life and accompany them on their journey.

Richard Wilkinson, BSc (Hons)

I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor and member of the BACP. I have previous experience working at the open-door centre working with vulnerable adults between the age of 15-30 suffering with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, low self-confidence and stress.

As well as working at Time to Talk I have a position at a high school counselling pupil at secondary school age with issues including Trauma, Bereavement, Sexual and emotional abuse and Self-Harm.

After experiencing de-selection from a football club in my younger years, I focussed my own understanding and experience to the mental health issues that surround players being de selected from professional sports academies. I have written two articles that have been published on this subject and feel I could offer counselling support for any players coming out of professional sport through de selection, retirement or injury. Also, players that are still attached to their sports profession suffering from any forms of anxiety.

Beyond Counselling I have a successful photography business working in a reportage style where creating strong relationships with my client is paramount to producing emotional images capturing important moments or occasions in their lives.

Person-centred counselling is my chosen theory in counselling practice. Creating a relationship and environment where the client feels safe to share and grow, offering compassion, empathy and understanding along the journey that we take together.
